Introduction
NextDash ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at nextdash.io and provides a WooCommerce customer dashboard plugin and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, create an account, purchase a license, or use our products.
By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely using industry-standard hashing). If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive basic profile information from those providers as permitted by your account settings.
Purchase and license data. When you buy a NextDash license, we record order details, license keys, plan type, activation limits, and the domains where you activate the plugin. We may also store site metadata such as WordPress version, plugin version, and IP address for license validation and support purposes.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. We do not store your full credit card or payment credentials on our servers. Lemon Squeezy may collect billing name, address, and payment method details according to their own privacy policy.
Usage and technical data. We may automatically collect information such as browser type, device information, pages visited, referring URLs, and general usage patterns to improve our website and services.
Communications. If you contact us for support, we collect the content of your messages and any information you choose to provide.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and client portal access
- Process purchases, issue licenses, and validate activations
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
- Send transactional emails such as receipts, license details, and account notifications
- Improve our website, products, and user experience
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues
- Comply with legal obligations
NextDash Plugin on Your Website
The NextDash WordPress plugin runs on your own website. In its default configuration, the plugin does not send customer or store data from your WooCommerce site to NextDash servers beyond what is required for license validation. Your store's customer data remains on your WordPress installation unless you explicitly configure integrations that transmit data elsewhere.
Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party providers to operate our services, including:
- Lemon Squeezy — payment processing, subscriptions, and invoicing
- Authentication providers — Google and GitHub sign-in (if you choose to use them)
- Hosting and infrastructure — cloud hosting and database services for our website and portal
These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies and applicable data protection requirements.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use our website. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit certain features, such as staying signed in to your account.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Account data is generally kept while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward unless deletion is requested or required by law.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, secure password storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You may update account details from your dashboard settings or contact us to exercise your rights.
You may opt out of non-essential marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in those emails or contacting us directly.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for cross-border data transfers.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated via email or a notice on our website. Your continued use of our services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
